These beautiful treats are simple to make. First, buy several colors of hard candy, such as Jolly Ranchers (rock candy doesn't work). Crush with a mallet and keep each color in a separate dish.
Form foil into molds shaped like ovals or circles with flat bottoms and raised edges. Arrange on a cookie sheet. Spray with non-stick cooking spray, then arrange the candy crumbs in concentric circles. Use a small paintbrush to push each layer to the edge and out of the middle.
Put in a 350 degree oven for about 5 minutes until the candies have melted together. Remove foil and use edible gold or silver powders to paint along the edges. Impress all your friends!
