Nex-Tech Community Engagement Update

July 2024

It takes a Village

Hello, friends and stakeholders of Nex-Tech.

The task of elevating and improving the quality of life across Northwest and Central Kansas is ongoing. Nex-Tech alongside well-meaning individuals, groups, organizations, institutions, and the government are all playing their part. In the last few months, I have visited and engaged with a variety of these stakeholders in this process of community development. Like a recent visit to Osborne, KS, or an engagement with Barton County Commissioners, in Great Bend, or interacting with the City Council of Russell, or even stopping at Hill City and Moundridge amongst others. As I travel around and engage it is becoming clearer and clearer that many stakeholders are doing great work across several developmental fronts. From downtown revitalization efforts to childcare initiatives, to tourism, education, housing, business attraction, workforce development, etc; a lot is ongoing.

Nex-Tech fiber broadband and other technological solutions continue to catalyze many of these societal systems, underpinning our status as a leading Smart Rural Community Provider.  Watch this recent video about the impact of Nex-Tech on communities.
